Who is Anita?
Anita is a compassionate and experienced therapist specialising in a humanistic approach, integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. With a strong foundation in being non-judgemental, congruent, and empathic, Anita creates a safe and supportive environment for client self-discovery and growth. She believes in allowing the client to lead and set the pace of therapy, empowering them to explore and understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
Anita has a particular interest in helping those with chronic illnesses, such as autoimmune diseases. She understands the complexities and challenges of living with chronic health conditions, including the frequent hospital visits, diverse symptoms, and significant life changes. Anita is passionate about providing therapy that addresses both the physical and mental health impacts of chronic illness, helping clients manage stress and anxiety, improve their daily lives, and find hope amidst their struggles.
Anita works with adults and teens, and offers in person sessions in Killarney, and online sessions.
